Who are the Louisiana LunaChicks?
The Louisiana LunaChicks of NELA are an all-inclusive group of women, ages 21 and up, who believe life is better with a little music, movement, laughter, and giving back.
Founded in 2019 by Stacy Gibson, the LunaChicks first came together as a dance group preparing to perform in the debut Krewe de Riviere parade in February 2020. What started as a fun way to dance, connect, and become more involved in the community quickly grew into something much bigger: a sisterhood built on friendship, confidence, encouragement, and service.
Today, you’ll find the LunaChicks bringing their energy to parades, festivals, senior living communities, community celebrations, and special events, while also volunteering, supporting veterans, and giving back wherever they can. Our performances are always free because spreading joy is part of who we are.
You don’t have to be a professional dancer to be a LunaChick! Our members come from different backgrounds, ages, and walks of life, brought together by a shared love of fun, friendship, personal growth, and making a difference.
Along the way, the LunaChicks have danced far beyond Northeast Louisiana, received recognition, and even gone viral online, but no matter where the music takes us, our purpose stays the same:
Bring joy. Serve others. Support one another. And have a whole lot of fun doing it.
At our core, the Louisiana LunaChicks are women supporting women, creating friendships, making memories, and proving that you’re never too old to turn up the music, and step outside your comfort zone to “Groove & Give Back”.
